How to prevent deformation of 3D welding table?

Deformation of a 3D welding table is mainly caused by residual material stress, long-term heavy load, concentrated welding heat and improper operation. Multiple measures can be adopted to keep the tabletop flat and maintain long-term positioning accuracy.

First of all, choose tables manufactured with complete stress relief annealing. Raw steel plates contain internal stress generated during cutting and forging. Professional stress relief heating treatment eliminates such stress in advance, which is the most fundamental way to avoid slow natural deformation after long-term use. High-quality 3D welding tables also adopt thickened plate structure to improve overall rigidity and anti-bending performance.

Secondly, standardize daily loading and usage. Avoid placing ultra-heavy workpieces on a single area of the tabletop for a long time; distribute heavy loads evenly. Do not use the table as a heavy hammering platform. Violent impact will cause local depression and permanent flatness deviation. When clamping workpieces, control clamping force reasonably to prevent excessive local pressure.

Thirdly, reduce concentrated thermal impact. Avoid continuous long-time welding at the same position. Intense localized welding heat will produce uneven thermal expansion and contraction, inducing tabletop warpage. Clean welding spatter regularly. Stacked slag forms uneven support and may lead to local stress concentration. Surface nitriding treatment can protect the tabletop and holes from high-temperature damage.

Moreover, perform regular inspection and proper storage. Place the welding table on a level, solid foundation. Uneven ground support will create additional twisting stress on the whole table frame. If the workshop environment has large temperature differences, avoid placing the table near heat sources. Once slight flatness deviation is found, adjust supporting feet timely to prevent further deformation.

If deformation has already occurred, do not force correction by clamping. Contact the manufacturer for professional flatness testing and maintenance.
